Pastor Erin Valenti - Youth Pastor

Erin Valenti is 27 and is from Rome, Ohio.  Erin graduated from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University in 2002 and went on to graduate from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2005.  Erin has been the intern Youth Pastor at her home church, Jefferson Church of the Nazarene.  She has a dynamic personality and quickly connected with the youth here on her visit a few weeks ago.  Erin is involved also at her church in worship and teaches young adults in Sunday School.  Erin and her husband, Micah, have been married one year and are a wonderful team.  One of the things that I was impressed with in Erin is her journey with God.  Erin was in the youth group at her church when she accepted the call of God into ministry and has followed that call to college and seminary.  After seminary Erin was advised by her mentor/senior pastor that she should seek a full-time ministry opportunity in a setting where she would have the best chance to see her full God-given gifts unfold, and he advised her that was not at her home church.  To see the kind of maturity that accepts that kind of direction tells me God has His hand on this young lady and we are privileged to have a chance to have Erin here.
